Borders Children’s Charity – our chosen charity 2025

Cedar Hus is a fledgling business, aiming to help people feel better with sauna, nature, learning and exercise. We are delighted to be creating a growing, warm community who love our travelling sauna and array of feel-good events. We want to be a good business that does good, and one of the ways we are doing this is by supporting Borders Children’s Charity (BCC), with in-kind support, awareness raising and donations.

BCC provides essentials to children in the Borders who need urgent support. This starts right at the basics with:

–  Alleviating bed poverty by providing mattresses and bedding sets.
–  Funding school trips and warm clothes that otherwise would be out of reach for children living in poverty.
–  Helping those with complex needs access the right equipment to go about their daily lives safely.

At Cedar Hus, we are going to take some practical action to support and build funds for BCC in 2025. We will:

–  Provide soup or cakes at some events, available for a discretionary donation to BCC
–  Provide a collection box with QR code at the sauna to make donating easy.
–  Donate sauna sessions for BCC to give as prizes.
–  Support awareness raising of BCC on social media.
–  Make our multi-purpose space available for committee meetings.
–  Donate money directly instead of sending Christmas cards.
