Part-time Sauna Hosts, based near Melrose, Scottish Borders
Cedar Hus is on the hunt for at least one friendly, outgoing sauna host to look after our beautiful Beyla sometimes at the weekend, or weekday evenings.

This fantastic place of work is out in nature – on farms, near lochs, beautiful gardens or the sea. The ideal applicant must be prepared to deal with little curveballs that nature throws every now and then with humour and common sense. We will provide you with branded workwear for staying cosy and dry whilst working outside. We will help you learn more about sauna so you in turn can inspire our guests and help them have the best sauna experience. We provide training where necessary eg Sauna Host, Sauna Rituals, First Aid.

Key responsibilities include:
• Opening the sauna, heating her and maintaining her temperature.
• Welcoming guests and providing a short health & safety briefing before each session, and building knowledge and confidence in the sauna experience with guests.
• Managing sauna changeovers – cleaning benches and floors and stoking stove.
• Managing access to water and maintaining an ice bath – emptying it, changing water, adding ice.
• Providing refreshments to customers.
• Keeping an eye out for any additional needs customers may have.
• Supporting events and collaborations.
• Closing and securing the sauna at the end of the shift.
• Any other duties as required within your skill set.

Skills and qualities required:
• Friendly and approachable personality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, whilst operating well within a wider team.
• Attention to detail to maintain a safe and clean sauna environment.
• Physical ability to move moderately heavy items like firewood and water canisters, and carry out effective cleaning.
• Ability to work weekends, including some early mornings and evenings and possibly some weekday evenings.
• Driving license and access to own vehicle.

Desirable qualities:
• Sauna fan, or keen to learn about sauna.
• Interest in aromatherapy or holistic therapies.
